The fourth child pays half­price, and any additional children may attend at no cost. We never want finances to hinder a family from participating in our camp. If you would like to participate in the camp but finances would not allow it, please contact Angela for arrangements. Refunds: Registration fees are non­refundable. Class fees are fully refundable until two weeks before the camp begins and are 50% refundable during the two weeks prior to camp beginning. Once the camp begins, classes are non­refundable. Class descriptions
Pre-K-K5
Creepy, Crawly, Squishy Bugs—A mantis that looks like a flower? A bug that makes food
we like to eat? We’ll take a much closer look at the world’s most interesting bugs with
fun hands-on projects for even the hesitant bug lover!
Math is Yummy!—This will be a fun way to help our young mathematicians learn about
simple measurements through their tummies! They’ll be measuring chocolate chips for
homemade quesadillas and cutting circle shaped pancakes into fractions.
Messy Masterpieces-- We all love to look at it hanging on our refrigerators, but who
wants to get all the supplies out and clean up the mess? We’ll let your kids create their
masterpieces, and start teaching them how to critique not only their own artwork but
also the artwork of famous artists.
Around the World—Pack your bags! We’re going on a trip around the world in only five
days! We’ll explore different cultures, foods, and traditions around the world without
leaving the county!
Movin’ and Shakin’—Hop, skip, jump! Fun organized games and friendly competition
combined with learning about healthy bodies and the importance of exercise.
Super Science—Get your gloves and goggles ready! We’re ready to get messy with
science!
Books Alive – Familiar stories will come alive as we create characters, settings, and plots
both familiar and new. How will one little change in a story affect the outcome? What if
the three bears were three kittens? You never know what’s going to happen when our
stories come to life.
Creative Messes – Get your drop cloth and art smocks ready. Kids will create their
masterpieces and also learn how to view and enjoy the art of famous artists.
Bodies in Motion – We will be moving our bodies in organized games and friendly
competition combined with learning about healthy bodies and the importance of
exercise.
Wonderful Weather – Twisting tornadoes, splashing rain, and crazy dust storms. You will
be amazed as you learn about wacky weather that happens all around our planet.
Animals You Don’t Want to Meet – Poisonous snakes, glowing fish, and spitting frogs.
We may not want to ever meet one, but we will sure have a fun time learning about
them!
K5-2nd

some of our favorite stories with puppets and acting out the new twists that the
students make up as we go along.

and start teaching them how to critique their own art plus the art of famous artists.
Candy Science—You’ve tasted it, you love it, you want some more! You have never seen
candy like this! A science class for lovers of the sweet stuff.
Machines—This is your chance to take apart those simple machines without getting in
trouble! We’ll explore how these simple and complex machines really work, plus learn
about some other large machines that we’ve always been curious about.
Let’s Get Moving—Hop, skip, jump! Fun organized games and friendly competition
combined with learning about healthy bodies and the importance of exercise.
Dirt Messes - Who loves dirt? We are fortunate to live in the Midwest with plenty of
rich farmland all around us. Come and learn all about the farmers and how things grow.
I’m Freezing! – We will learn about all kinds of cold things! How do scientists in
Antarctica get food? Are penguins and polar bears friends? Do all liquids freeze? You
won’t need a coat, but you may get a shiver or too!
Beautiful Biomes – Does everyone live in a “home” like yours? Can I live where there is
no snow or where there is only snow? Learn about the many biomes located on our
planet and even try your hand at creating one of your own.
Legos 2nd-4th
Art: Trash to Treasure-- Don’t throw that away! Come learn how to repurpose those
unused items into valuable and helpful new treasure.
Vet Med—Do you love to take care of animals? Learn animal care, how to create the
best environments for our own pets, and even do dissections to learn how animals
bodies work.
Relays, Races, and Recreation-- On your marks, get set, GO! Fun and friendly
competition combined with some general learning the benefits of healthy bodies and
importance of exercise.
Rocket Science—It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out! Or does it? We’ll
be learning all about rockets, space, NASA, getting into space, and what the astronauts
do there.
I Dig It! Growing Agriculture— Who loves dirt? We are fortunate to live in the Midwest

Pre-Med—Am I really burning up? How does the Tylenol know where to go? This class
will help those young doctors and nurses know the answers to these questions and
many more!

Art: Recycle—Dig out those old t-shirts and find out several ways that we can transform
them into something new!
Snap Circuit/Electricity—Snap! Crackle! Pop! No, not the cereal, electricity! Come learn
all about electricity and what really happens in the power lines with fun hands on
experiments.
ipad, iplay, iwrite-- ipads will be provided for all kids to learn how to use them to create
their own story using technology.
Theater-- All things theater! We’ll learn about acting, costumes, stage design, lighting,
sound, and then we’ll do it.
ipad, iplay, ivideo-- ipads will be provided for all kids to learn how to use them to create
their own story using technology. Using their own creations of pictures and stories, we
will create our own “movie”.
Party on! Planning, Creating, & Hosting – Who doesn’t like a fun gathering with family
and friends? Put your creativity to use as you plan all the exciting elements of hosting a
social get together.

Robotics—Design, create, and test your robotics skills in this exciting hands-on class for
those who love hands-on investigation and learning.
Basketball Skills Camp – Enjoy a week of strengthening your basketball skills alongside
other basketball enthusiasts.
Fashion Design—Attention fashion divas! This class is for you! We will learn about
different materials, patterns, how to put together a wardrobe, and add embellishment
to everyday outfits. You will be the designer as you create your own fashion ensembles.
Engineering—Live in the Peoria area? Then you probably know an engineer! What do
they really do? We will investigate the different divisions of engineering with various
hands-on activities and creations.
CSI—This class is for all you forensic lovers! Get clues about fingerprinting, examining
human hair and fibers, and detecting blood at the crime scene.
Journalism— Do you love to write articles? Do you love to talk and be in front of the
camera? Or do you love to take the pictures to show the world? Come and learn about
all the different aspects of journalism.
Entrepreneur—Bring your brilliant ideas, and learn about what it takes to run your own
business in today’s world.
Business: Establishing, Marketing, and Selling – Do you have a great idea that you think
would sell? Are you good with numbers and marketing ideas? Let’s put our talents
together and learn how to market and sell our product successfully!
Computer Design – Let’s get plugged-in and use technology to create logos, brochures,
advertising materials, and web page designs. You will sharpen your creative eye through
improved computer skills and resources.
Creative Pin: Pinterest Alive! – Do you love Pinterest? We will take popular Pinterest
ideas and make them our own. Glue, paint, tear apart, reassemble, and create our way
to beautiful and useful pieces.
Interior Design – Do you love decorating, looking at house plans, investigating various
colors and materials? Put your design interests to good use as you design, create, and
decorate various spaces. This will be a fun class that you will not want to miss!
