Invitation to the Doing Business with Cuba Seminar
The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti), in partnership with the Department of International
Relations and Cooperation and the Embassy of Cuba in South Africa, have the pleasure of inviting you to a
Seminar themed “Doing Business with Cuba”. The purpose of the seminar is to promote trade and
investment relations between South Africa and Cuba as well as to provide a platform for business-tobusiness engagements between the South African and Cuban business community.
The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Mzwandile Masina will deliver the key note address. There
will also be an address by the Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Ms Nunez
Mordoche on “Trade and Investment Opportunities including an update on the Economic Model in Cuba”.
Deputy Minister Nunez Mordoche will be in South Africa leading a business delegation comprising of 10
companies in the areas of Agro-processing (including agro-machinery), chemicals, capital equipment,
infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, transport, telecommunications, tourism, manufacturing, and energy (oil and
gas).
