2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 1. Leaves are to be placed in containers or biodegradable paper leaf bags no larger that 30 gallon size and are to be no heavier than 50 pounds per bag. Containers will be emptied by the collector directly into the truck. Bags in which leaves are placed must contain leaves only—no household refuse, tree trimmings, etc. may be placed with leaves. Bags containing items other than tree leaves will be left for the property owner to dispose of through his / her private collector. Biodegradable paper leaf bags are available from local merchants at nominal cost. Property owners are requested to obtain the bags from merchants of their choice; bags are not available from the Borough. Bagged leaves must be placed in the same location as usual trash pickup. Leaf bags will not be emptied by the collector. The bags with the leaves will be loaded in the compactor truck. Bundle branches in four foot lengths or less, no more than six inches in diameter. Collection will take place during the week of May 2, 2016. The Borough has been divided into four sections with Main and Broad Streets as the dividing lines. Bagged leaves will be collected by the Borough contractor according to the following schedule: Section 1 Bounded by West Main Street, North Broad Street, the North Borough Line and Squirrel Lane. May 2 Section 3 Bounded by West Main Street, South Broad Street, Whites Road and the West Borough Line. May 5 Section 2 Bounded by East Main Street, North Broad Street, the North Borough Line and North Wales Road. May 3 Section 4 Bounded by South Broad Street, East Main Street, Wissahickon Creek and South Borough Line. May 6 If leaves are missed on your scheduled day, please report it by calling 215-361-8372 U.S. POSTAGE PAID LANSDALE, PA PERMIT NO. 188 Collection will begin at 6:00 am on scheduled days. If the pick up in a section is not completed on the day scheduled, it will be completed on the following day. However, schedules are expected to be fairly well adhered to since weather does not adversely affect collection of leaves.
