Do we feel God’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament? Knight’s Corner Knights of Columbus Membership Drive Our annual membership drive continues. We ask that Parish Men consider joining the Knights. Anyone 18 and older is eligible for membership and you are not too old to join. You will be surprised at all the things we do for our Parish and one another and just how rewarding membership in the Knights can be. February 14 Valentines Day/Italian Dinner Dance The event many of you have been waiting for is here!! Please mark your calendars for Feb 14, 2015, 5pm to 11pm for the annual Valentines Day/Italian Dinner Dance. We will continue to sell tickets after each weekend mass to give us an approximate sense of the amount of food we will need. Tickets will also be available at the door. Cost per person will be $15. Cost per couple is $25. Children under 12 eat free. All proceeds after costs go to the Parish. Count on seeing antipasti, penne pasta and meatballs, sausage and peppers, chicken parmesan, deserts, and coffee/tea/sodas. We also plan to have a DJ. Child Sitting services will be available. Candidates include: Mike Joia - - a St Josephs Parishioner since 2002 and an Officer in the Knights of Columbus. His volunteer experience: 8 years with the Deep River Cub Scout Pack 17, 6 years as Committee Chairman; 9 years as a Deep River Little League Baseball coach, 6 years as League Safety Officer; and 11 years as coach with Valley Soccer Club. He completed 23 years in the US Navy in the nuclear submarine service. For the last 6 years, he has worked at Electric Boat and is currently a Program Representative. Maria Ruberto - - a Masters Degree from NYU. She has experience in marketing and sales, teaching, and theatre. She has been a choir member since 2002 and has actively supported our Christmas Fair since 2003, serving as the co-chair in 2014. She was also a member of the Fish Fry Committee last year. Bill Englert - - a St Joseph’s Parishioner since 1958. He and his wife, Roseland were married at St Joseph’s in 1960. Bill played a major role in ensuring the success of the Ceiling Tile Project. His skills as a carpenter proved invaluable. He and his wife typically help out at various St Joseph’s functions, including the Parish Christmas Fair and the Parish Fish Fries.
